HELICHECK is a fast urease test which is a useful method for detecting Pylori infections in the endoscopy area. Urease breaks down the urea. The resulting reaction products cause color change in the reagent. Color change is observed between 2 and 30 minutes, depending on the amount of H. Pylori the tissue sample. Since the color change varies proportionally depending on the amount of H. Pylori, information about the amount of microorganisms in the tissue is obtained.
